Arduino

the Arduino components we used for our project include:

2 9v batteries 1 Arduino Uno board 1 Arduino nano 33 and some connectors

Processing/ Arduino

The coding of the boards involved separate code. the Arduino uno is coded on the IoT website and the nano's code gives signals to the Arduino Uno because they are connected in an I2C master-slave connection with the nano being the master and the uno the slave. the Arduino nano is coded to send one of nine signals to the uno each time the user engages it.

3D Printing

the 3d printed screen cover covers the nuts and bolts  of the screen and also provides an aesthetic value

Fusion360

the casing was designed in fusion360. ideally, the e-paper is supposed to be large enough to fit the entire top but as this was a prototype we used a 1.54 inch screen. the casing is designed in such a way that it is able to flip open and closed. this makes it easier to access the component on the inside

Lasercutting

This part simply involved cutting out the casings parts
