3D Cup  Assessment: Design an Everyday product

STEP 1

First, create new component and then create sketch in the component. select the plane and use line to create a straight line
from the 150 point on the y axis to the midpoint, and the make another point that is 90 degrees to the previous line on the x axis. you should have an L-shape on your plane.
click on spline next and make three curved points up until you reach the 150 line. use line to connect the two points

STEP 2

Click revolve and select the midline axis. To make the cup hollow, use shell on the modify section and click on the top surface. Drag the arrow to choose your desired thickness.
Use fillet on the cup edges to smoothen them.

STEP 3

To make the handle, click on create sketch and select the left plane. next use spline to shape out the handle's skeleton. press finish sketch.
make an origin point by clicking on construction and selecting the "plane tangent to face at point". click the face (cup's body) and then  click on the point (the first point of the handle)
click ok.

STEP 4

 For the thickness, click  on the origin and then create sketch. use the two point triangle to create a even sided square around the midpoint. use fillet on its edges
finish sketch.
Go to create, sweep, select your profile and path. Click ok. Add finishing touches to the cup and use the design menu to color and materialize it.
